History Of Lewis

Lewis Automotive Group has been owned and operated by the same family since 1930. The first store was started by Charles S. Lewis Sr. and later joined by his son, Charles S. Lewis Jr.

In 1987 Charles Jr. passed away and had no son to succeed him. Nancy Pat Lewis, his wife, jumped in and took over the helm. As Mrs. Lewis continued the family business, she was grooming two of her granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Abrams, to supersede her after their completion of college.

Rachel Abrams later married a Lewis Sales Manager, Chad Hopkins, and they had one daughter, Ella. Sarah Abrams is single and is also an area fitness trainer. Both of the girls are actively involved in day-to-day business at the multi-franchised company where they have a very strict protocol for which they base their standard operating procedures. The unforgotten philosophy of their late grandfathers remains the basis of their success, "Be fair, be honest, and everything else will take care of itself." Their inherited strong work ethics combined with their modern day twist of service after the sale has launched them into an extraordinary business that was once male dominated. In a time when 95% of all businesses fail, Lewis stands as the oldest dealership in Raleigh County, WV because of their competitive drive and honor given to each customer. Respect is not given. Respect is earned.
